Pieter Avontroodt
Biography
Pieter Avontroodt graduated in 1998 as a dentist at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium. Immediately afterward, he started at the same university his MSc degree in Periodontics, which he completed in 2001. Until 2004 he worked as a consultant and researcher at the KU Leuven. He performed mainly research on halitosis, bone regeneration and initial periodontal therapy. He is author and co-author of several refereed national and international publications.
Since 2003 he has been working in the Practice of Periodontology and Implantology Breda, where he followed his training for his recognition by the Dutch Society of Periodontology. This recognition was granted in 2004. In practice, he divides his work between implantology and periodontology.
His interest goes to the computerized 3D planning. For years, he uses both NobelGuide and Materialise software. In addition, he also earned his recognition as an Implantologist at the Dutch Society of Oral Implantology
