Ye Lin

Biography

Prof. Ye Lin graduated from Xi’an Medical University in 1983 and received his training in maxillofacial surgery at the West China University of Medical Sciences in Chengdu from 1983 to 1990. From 1991 to 1995, he worked as a resident in the Department of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery in Cologne, Germany, where he completed specialist training in orthognathic surgery and traumatology.

Prof. Ye Lin is past President of the Asian Association of Oral Implantology and was twice Chairman of the Chinese Stomatological Association’s Oral Implant Committee. He is a fellow of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Chairman of the Chinese Stomatological Association’s Implant Academy, and Director of the Chinese Stomatological Association. Since 2007, he has also been on the editorial board of the European Journal of Oral Implantology. Prof Ye Lin is a pioneer of Orthognathic surgery and Implantology in China and has authored numerous papers on implant dentistry. He is a frequent international guest speaker on the topic of oral implantology.

Patient cases

Single anterior tooth replacement

A 21-year-old female patient presented with a fractured anterior incisor #11 FDI (#8 US). Pre-operative 3D-CT showed an intact buccal bone plate. The incisor had to be extracted, an immediate implant and an immediate provisional restoration were placed the same day.
