APAC Clinical Case Competition
The APAC Clinical Case Competition offers clinicians across the region a platform to present exemplary clinical cases and gain international recognition for their work.
For this edition, the theme Immediacy – Immediate Placement & Restoration invited participants to demonstrate the benefits, challenges, and clinical outcomes associated with immediate implant protocols. Clinicians were encouraged to showcase innovative approaches, evidence‑based techniques, and best practices that support predictable results in immediate placement and restoration.
The theme highlighted how thoughtful case selection, surgical precision, and restorative planning can optimize patient outcomes while advancing the broader understanding of immediacy in clinical practice.
Competition results
Dr. Keremcan Kuru PhD, DDS works as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon in his private clinic in Izmir, Türkiye. In his 12th year of practice, Dr. Kuru focuses on the treatment of edentulism using biological and digital approaches, and for the past 6 years has managed a clinic that provides all manufacturing processes in-house. He gives seminars on the FP-1 concept and provides live surgical training.

Dr. Dingxiang Yuan, an oral surgeon at Beijing Stomatological Hospital, Capital Medical University, specializes in the clinical application of digital technology in oral aesthetics and functional restoration. A junior instructor for the Oral Aesthetics Committee of the Chinese Stomatological Association (CSA), he focuses on incorporating digital tools into aesthetic clinical practice. His clinical expertise and case achievements have been recognized through oral presentations at international congresses such as EAO and FDI.

Dr. Zihan Guo is a graduate student in Prosthodontics at Beijing Stomatological Hospital, Capital Medical University. Dr. Guo completed an academic exchange at Semmelweis University in Hungary as a recipient of a China Scholarship Council sponsorship. He has presented his research at major international and national meetings, including EuroPerio11, the 103rd General Session of the IADR, the 16th National Conference of the Chinese Stomatological Association Society of Oral Implantology, and the 17th National Conference of the Society of Periodontology.
