Dr Patel graduated from the University of Bristol Dental School in 2002. He completed the Membership (MFDS) examinations for the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He undertook a 3 year full-time graduate training program in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics, at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in California. During the Prosthodontic training he also completed his Master of Science (MS) degree in Prosthodontics and completed a one year Surgical Fellowship in Implant Dentistry at Loma Linda.

Rishi is recognised by the General Dental Council as a Specialist in Prosthodontics and is an Honorary Senior Clinical Teaching Fellow at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute. He is based in specialist referral practice at 33, Beaumont Street in Oxford and Surrey in the UK, where his focus is implant, aesthetic and restorative dentistry. He continues to teach and mentor dentists in the fields of restorative and implant dentistry and lectures both nationally and internationally in these fields.
