Biography
I graduated from dental school with a DMD degree from the University of British Columbia (UBC) in 2009. Right after graduation, I moved to the US to start a residency in Prosthodontics at the University of Iowa. I graduated with a Certificate in prosthodontics in 2012. Shortly after, I wrote the Canadian Specialty Board and RCDC Fellowship exams and joined a specialty private practice in Vancouver, BC. I eventually purchased the practice before his passing and operated as a solo practitioner for about 8 years.
In 2020, I decided to seek other opportunities and joined BC Perio, a group speciality practice in Vancouver, under the leadership of Dr. Bobby Birdi, where I am currently practicing full-time. In the past few years, I have been teaching at UBC as a clinical assistant professor. I have provided didactic and hands-on courses, lectured in local and national level and have mentored a study club for local general dentists. I have also worked contunously with RCDC and NDEB of Canada as a board examiner and with the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia as a member of the Inquiry Committee for the past few years.
I have received numerous awards, including - American College of Prosthodontics Undergraduate Achievement Prize, UBC; - British Columbia Society of Prosthodontists Prize, UBC; and - International Student Award in Dentistry, UBC, just to name of few. I am a Board Examiner for the Royal College of Dentists of Canada since 2016 and a Board Examiner for the National Dental Examining Board of Canada since 2023.
