Dr. Gerardo Martínez Cabruja graduated as a Doctor in Dental Surgery in 1985 with a Magna Cum laude distinction from the Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic), after which he obtained the Dominican University Foundation prize for his outstanding academic achievement. Later, he went on to obtain a post-graduate degree in orthodontics (Barcelona, Spain, 1991), a masters degree in occlusion and oral rehabilitation (Valencia, Spain, 1997), and a masters degree in implantology and oral rehabilitation from The European School of Oral Rehabilitation and Biomaterials (Valencia, Spain, 1997), where he was granted an award for 'Best Masters Thesis'. Dr. Martínez Cabruja served as an associate profesor in prosthodontics at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (Barcelona, Spain) and is in private practice in dentistry in Barcelona, Spain, since 1986 (www.clinicamartinezcabruja.com).
