OR Setup

The morning of the surgery (beginning of the day), the nurse / dental assistant should check for the following items in the surgical suite / OR:

• Resuscitation kit available and complete
• Filter for sterile water installed and functioning properly
• Enough surgical scrub brushes and antiseptic soap for all participants in surgery
• Vacuum functional
• Implant motor functional
• Surgical unit controlled
• Irrigation material and saline water available
• Surgical and implant kit(s) complete and sterilized
• Radiology equipment is functional
