During Europerio 2022, a panel of outstanding experts in the field of peri-implant diseases discuss various aspects of the topic.
A panel led by Dr. France Lambert and including Dr. Giacomo Fabbri, Dr. Alberto Monje and Dr. Markus Schlee approach the topic of peri-implant diseases from various angles. They discuss the state of clinical evidence, newly acquired knowledge and treatment options as well as their approach to the topic.
In the first part of the panel presentation, Dr. France Lambert introduces the panelists and the topic to the audience. She set the scence with an introduction to muco- and osseointegration and how implant differ from natural teeth in the biological environment.
The first panelist to present is Dr. Giacomo Fabbri. He discusses the key points of restorations in maintaining hard and soft tissue health. He starts his presentation with covering the influence of restorative materials on the implant health. Following this it the topic of morphology of a restoration and what to consider when planning the ideal rehabilitation. Dr. Fabbri concludes his presentation by highlighting the clinical approach to ensure a successful implant therapy.
