Dr. Keng Mun Wong reviews the clinical decision-making related to timing of implant placement in the esthetic zone. When is it a better option to preserve the tooth and when to extract? When can an implant be placed immediately, and when is it beneficial to decide for an immediate-delayed or delayed approach? These topics are addressed from the perspective of gingival architecture and soft tissue management, type of implant, surgical technique, grafting techniques, provisionalization, and material and design of the definitive restoration.
Dr. Wong received a BDS degree from the National University of Singapore and an MSD degree and Certificate in Prosthodontics from the University of Washington. He was honored for his outstanding presentation at the Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry in Universal City. In recognition of his Esthetic Dentistry achievements, he was invited by the International Federation of Esthetic Dentistry and the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry to speak at their scientific meeting in Venice. He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and he lectures worldwide. Dr. Wong is Director and Founder of the T32 Dental Centre and his practice focuses on restorative care, including cosmetic dentistry, full mouth reconstruction, fixed, removable and implant prosthodontics.
