Achieving anterior implant esthetics is a challenging procedure. Understanding the biological and physiological limitations of the soft and hard tissues will facilitate predictability in simple to complex esthetic situations. This presentation will reflect on the past and current, while pondering the future of implant treatment philosophies and methodologies for immediate tooth replacement in the esthetic zone.
Dr. Kan completed Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. He is a Professor and maintains a Surgical Prosthodontics practice. He is on the Editorial Board of The International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry, and The European Journal of Esthetic Dentistry. Dr. Kan honors include the 1997 Best Research Award from the Academy of Osseointegration, and the 2003 Judson Hinckey Award from the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry.
Is this always necessary to graft outside of buccal bone and Wat is the criteria for selection of graft in these type of cases.
