Dr Malmquist introduces the Foundation for Oral Rehabilitation (FOR) in North America, and presents what FOR is and how FOR can work with the dental community. FOR is an independent, international foundation with the objective, to treat more patients in a humanitarian way, that reflects innovation and the highest standards of scientifically based treatment, that reflects the dignity of the patients and their need for rehabilitation, and with the objective to offer a platform for sharing knowledge. FOR science offers information on the advancements in clinical practice for the benefit of the patient, such as results from FOR consensus conferences and providing safety checklists for clinical treatments. FOR education provides innovative learning environments, presentation videos and patient treatment documentations. An important focus of FOR is to actively engage with young clinicians and educators. Dr Malmquist summarizes that FOR offers a platform to look at and review important clinical and scientific information, to interact with colleagues and to work towards better patient treatments and outcomes. To work towards these objectives, FOR is supported and sponsored by NobelBiocare.
