Dental implant treatments are constantly evolving in order to improve harmonious esthetic integration. This lecture will focus on a new concept, On1, allowing biological advantages in the fragile soft-tissue implant /restoration interface. Avoiding disturbance of the biologic space by transferring the restorative/platform interface from the bone up to the soft-tissue level facilitates the procedures of the restorative team.
The speaker will describe how the concept “one-base/one -time" works, and its flow of advantages for the treating team which can choose either cemented or screw-retained solutions, regular impressions or intra-oral scanning.
Dr. Bernard Touati is a doctor in dental surgery and in dental sciences (DDS-MS). He is a visiting professor at Hadassah Faculty of Dental Medicine in Jerusalem. Dr. Touati is the Past President of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. He is also a member of the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry and the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. Currently Dr. Touati is a former board member of the Foundation for Oral Rehabiliation (FOR). He was the editor-in-chief of Practical Procedures and esthetic Dentistry (US). Dr. Touati is the author of numerous publications and books; the most recent being Integration of Digital Ceramic Restorations (Montage Media, US, 2009).
So why not use a tissue level implant or if case allows a one piece implant ?
