When working with complex cases is it very important to operate as one team. Only when all professionals are working towards the same goal and focused on the patient can the optimal treatment results be achieved.
The speakers will show you cases and share their thoughts about when there is an extra need for tight team work and discuss the importance of this. The lecture will also cover the importance of a good design of the prosthetic constructions, when and why to choose different kind of reconstructions and when simple communication tools can help you get a better dialogue and in the end simplify and optimize our treatments, all for the benefit of the patient.
Åsa Sjöholm received her dental technician degree in 1993 in Stockholm, Sweden. She has run her own dental laboratory, specializing in producing high quality esthetic products and solutions, since 1995. By means of photo documentation and a methodical technical approach her focus is to have a close collaboration with both the clinics and the patients to be able to achieve long-lasting esthetic restorations. Åsa likes the mix of art, design and technology in her daily work. In addition, she is a member of the Nobel Biocare Nordic Esthetic Group.
Nicole Winitsky graduated as a dentist from the Dental faculty at the Karolinska Institute in 1997 and received her specialist degree in Prostodontics at the Public Dental Health in Stockholm in 2012. Since 2015 she is a Phd-student at the Karolinska Institute. Her clinical focus is prosthodontics and implantology and at present her main focus is prostodontics in children and young adults diagnosed with diseases affecting their dental development or traumas at the Eastman institute in Stockholm. Her research ”Implants in the anterior maxilla in young patients” involving long term follow up, has been rewarded with prices for the best prosthodontic research. Both at the Swedish Dental Congress and at the European association for Osseointegration (EAO) congress. She works on a regular basis with lecturing and giving courses nationally and internationally.
