Clinical study with gradually anodized implants restored with two-piece anodized abutments – preliminary results
Ongoing clinical study on anodized implant (TiUltra™) and abutment (Xeal™) surfaces
Newly developed anodized surfaces provide a unique chemistry and topography optimized for rapid mucointegration and osseointegration. The implant surface (TiUltra, Nobel Biocare) has a gradual change in topography designed to promote early osseointegration and to support stable marginal bone. The new surface (Xeal, Nobel Biocare) at the tissue-level base of the two-piece abutment promotes undisturbed mucointegration. This interim analysis evaluates soft tissue health and patient-reported outcomes of the gradually anodized implant and the smooth anodized abutment until follow-up at final prosthesis delivery.
