Implant- and tooth-supported full mouth rehabilitation

A 67-year-old male patient presented with visible black triangles and a cracked tooth in need of replacement. The initial examination showed a complex clinical situation requiring extensive treatment. The patient's dentition showed abrasions and periodontal damage. But since the patient's wish to improve oral health was very strong, she agreed to pursue with the fixed prosthodontic treatment.

In the first treatment phase all failing teeth were extracted and insufficient restorations removed. In the posterior regions the extracted teeth and removed restorations were replaced by implant-supported restorations, bridges on natural teeth and single crowns. In the aesthetic zone, the lower teeth were restored with veneers. The maxillary anterior teeth were restored with single crowns since the gingival recessions were too advanced and veneers alone could not have provided the desired outcome.
