Bahadır Kan was born in 1982 in Eskişehir. In 2005, he graduated with a degree from the Faculty of Dentistry at Hacettepe University, and in 2011, he completed his specialization in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. In 2012, he began his academic career as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Kocaeli University Faculty of Dentistry. In 2017, he became an Associate Professor, and in 2022 he was appointed as a Professor. He worked as a faculty member in the Department of Oral, Dental, and Jaw Surgery at the Faculty of Dentistry at Biruni University from 2018 to 2021, Istanbul Okan University from 2021 to 2025, and Kocaeli University of Health and Technology from 2025 to 2026 as Dean. Having memberships in both domestic and foreign scientific societies, Dr. Kan has many articles published in indexed and peer-reviewed journals, as well as book chapters. The reconstruction of maxillomandibular defects and bone regeneration methods, advanced dental and zygomatic implant surgeries, orthognathic surgery, and oral soft tissue surgeries are the surgical fields of interest for Dr. Kan. Dr. Kan is married and a father of two children.
