William Becker

Biography

Dr. William Becker graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry and completed his specialty training in Periodontics at Baylor College of Dentistry In 1996, He received an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Gothenburg in Sweden. Dr. Becker is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, and past President of the American Academy of Periodontology. He holds academic appointments at the University of Southern California, THE University of Washington. Dr. Becker has authored over 90 studies relating to periodontal therapy and dental implants, and is co-editor Journal of Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research. He maintains a private practice limited to Periodontics in Tucson.

Immediate implant placement in maxillary molar site

A 53-year-old female patient presented with the molar removed, preserving the buccal plate and there was sufficient bone to place an implant in an optimal restorative position. The tooth was extracted and an implant placed.
