Clinical Pre-Treatment Consultation
At the end of the pre-treatment consultation while patient is still present, the clinician / surgeon should verify that the following actions were taken:
- Medical history questionnaire taken and reviewed orally
- Intraoral examination performed
- Radiographic examination completed and radiographs in patient’s file
- Access and visibility of operative site confirmed
- Direction of roots adjacent to the edentulous area(s) checked
- Alveolar nerve located
- Suitable implants and components identified
- Provisional restoration(s) planned and laboratory alerted
- Premedication prescribed
