- Design and engineering to optimize soft and hard tissue outcomes general session
The goal of creating a harmonious aesthetic outcome around dental implants that mimics the surrounding dentition and soft-tissue condition as well as morphology is indeed difficult to create and maintain long term. The subepithelial connective tissue graft (CTG) is a favored option to treat and prevent gingival and peri-implant soft-tissue recessions and is typically placed in combination with a coronally advanced flap or with an envelope flap or pouch. What are the different surgical and prosthetic criteria when it comes to treating implants in the anterior region? What are the techniques and tools available when a soft-tissue “volume maintainer” is used as soft-tissue grafting procedure? The speaker will answer these questions to support optimal esthetic outcomes.
